ENTRY FEES:

$75 plus Pit Pass for all classes EXCEPT Shit Box.

Entry Fee for the Shit Box class will be $25 as an add-on option to the Pissed In Cup Driver Entry Fee.

Pit Passes - $30 for one day. Includes 1 crew member and participant for a total of 2 people.

FORMAT:

Drivers will race once in each pit for a total of 2 runs. All drivers will complete a run in Pit 1 for the first round, then complete their next run in Pit 2.

Each round classes will run in the order of: MODIFIED, PRO STOCK, SUPER STOCK, WOMEN'S, STOCK, STREET STOCK, and SHIT BOX will run last.

PRIZES:

Payouts will be based on both runs combined for a total fastest time(must make both runs). The Shit Box Class payouts differ from all other classes, since this is more of an exhibition type class. Payouts for all other classes have been determined based on the cost of insurance and other operation costs for this event. This is World of Redneck's first time EVER running a Mud Truck event, and this is our trial run! If this event is a success there is a possibility for higher purses in the future!

Shit Box Class:

1st - $50 payout plus Trophy

2nd & 3rd - Trophy

Modified, Prostock, Super Stock, Women's, Stock and Street Stock:

Purse = 100% total entry fees by class Percentage of Purse by place = 1st - 50%, 2nd - 30%, 3rd - 20%

Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd

Colorado Mud Racing Rules

2022 COLORADO MUDRACING GENERAL RULES, REGULATIONS, AND SAFETY.

No one is allowed to have alcohol or drugs(including marijuana). ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY! If the driver or pit crew/members are found to be in possession of, or consuming alcohol and or illegal drugs(including marijuana), the driver will be disqualified. All monies will be forfeited, and all persons involved will be removed from the event. Law enforcement may be requested to assist if needed.

Fighting, arguing, and poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated amongst racers or their pit crews/members. This will be grounds for ejection from the event, and legal prosecution. Please be professional!

All issues/concerns should be brought to the attention of the main race official(s). Drivers should be the only person talking to race officials, not pit crew/members.

The speed limit for all areas of the event is 5mph, only in the race pit can your speed be over this limit.

Calling time to the starting line is 2 minutes. This time begins after announcer has called your name to the starting line. Be ready ahead of time! If a problem occurs the Driver must contact the race official, extra time may be allowed by race official only. If no extra time is allowed your run will be disqualified at the end of the 2 minutes, or after the extra time allowed has expired.

Seat belts required in all classes, must be functional and considered safe . D.O.T. approved helmets required in all classes. All drivers and passengers must wear helmets and seat belts during the event.1 passenger allowed in stock, superstock, and prostock. No Passengers in Mod-open class.

All loose items in or on vehicle must be removed prior to event start.

With the exception of some driveline parts, components that continue to break including but not limited to, suspension, brake or steering mechanisms or frame structures will be considered a safety violation and will result in disqualification for that run as well as not being allowed to race until the problem is permanently corrected.

All vehicles must have pit removal hook ups at both ends of the vehicle, must be strong enough to pull vehicle from without damage. No ball hitches. The use of a clevis is recommended. If you are asked to hook up to cable, and choose not to do it, you will be required to hook it up in the pit if you get stuck.

Vehicles may be required to be hooked up to a tow cable when entering the pit. At this point race officials will ask that you put the vehicle in park/neutral and place your hands in the air until you are asked to proceed to staging area.

All vehicles are required to come to a complete stop after exiting the pit for safety reasons! You will be disqualified if you do not stop! You must stay stopped until cable is released from the vehicle(when used).At this point race officials will ask that you put the vehicle in park/neutral and place your hands in the air until you are asked to return to the pit area. When not used you may continue to pit area after making a complete stop.

Fire extinguishers are required and must be mounted in the cab of the vehicle, with ease of access, in all classes except stock, and superstock.

At least one driveshaft safety loop per driveshaft required, and one u-joint scatter shield over u-joint at each axle required in all classes except Stock and Street Stock.

Transmission safety shields/blankets(sfi 4.1 spec) required on all vehicles with transbrakes

Vehicles with open top or soft top must have a minimum 4 point roll bar installed.

Kill cable may be used on all Promod and Open class vehicles at certain events. (Promod and Open class are subject to additional safety rules. (See class rules for more info)

All vehicles will be subject to tech inspection at each race. Vehicles in question may be inspected at any time during the event to insure safety and fair play. Vehicle inspections will be done by the representatives of that race. (See Class Rules for technical info)

Drivers meeting is mandatory for all drivers. Race order will be determined at meeting, late entries will run the middle twice, if permitted to race at all(race official to determine this). If running late, it is a must to contact race official before entry deadline to be allowed to run at all.

Payouts vary by race, usually voted on at drivers meeting. So attend driver meeting! This is mandatory for all racers. Payouts will be based on both runs combined for a total fastest time(must make both runs).

One race leniency at discretion of all drivers in that class(the paid and registered in that class will vote only).

Race officials have the right to change/modify rules as needed for general purposes or for safety reasons at any time.

Recognized and standardized race classes are STREET STOCK, STOCK, SUPERSTOCK, PROSTOCK, MODIFIED, also available at some events are PROMOD, and OPEN.

WOMENS CLASS is available at some of the races as well, where available the rules for this class is the same as Super Stock.

STREET STOCK CLASS This is an all motor class, it is intended for mostly stock 4wd trucks, jeeps, and suv’s, that have not been modified for competition. The vehicles in this class must be capable of being made street legal, with the exception of insurance, and registration. Must have exhaust.

  • TIRES

    • Any size D.O.T. approved tires, No ‘Boggers‘, No cut tires allowed. No paddle tires. No tractor tires.

  • ENGINES

    • Engines must be correct for year, make and model. Engine in factory location only.

    • Factory blocks only, no aftermarket engine blocks. NO SVO, MOPAR, or BOWTIE engine blocks.

    • 502 and V-10 in original chassis only.

    • 3 performance bolt ons allowed excluding aftermarket carburetors. The carburetor will not be counted as a performance bolt on. Performance bolt ons such as headers, intakes, ignition systems etc, will be counted. No open exhaust, must have pipe behind cab.

  • FUEL

    • 91 octane maximum unleaded gasoline. Diesels ok. No race fuels! No cover scents/masking scents.

  • TRANSMISSION

    • OEM transmissions only! Must match Year, make, and model.

  • BODY

    • OEM body must match frame and engine. No body swaps. Pickup beds can be replaced with heavy steel flat beds. No aluminum, or lightweight homemade replacement beds. All flatbeds must meet tech approval.

    • Body and interior must be completely intact, no gutting/cutting of interior or exterior. Doors cannot be removed.

    • Only minor fender trimming allowed for bigger tires.

    • Functional radiator in stock location only.

    • Battery must be in engine compartment, and must be securely mounted. Bungee cords will NOT be allowed as acceptable battery hold down.

    • At least one OEM bumper required.

    • Windshield and side windows required

    • OEM Open top vehicles must have roll bar, 4 point minimum. Does not apply to Half cab vehicles. Must have some sort of roof over top of driver/passenger on open top vehicles. Fuel tank relocation ok. No racing fuel cells.

  • FRAME

    • No modifications to frame or suspension allowed. No 2wheel drive to 4wheel drive conversions.

    • Aftermarket lift kits allowed. Must be a safe height. Vehicle must be in safe operating condition at all times. 4 wheel hydraulic brakes required and must function properly. OE master cylinder required.

    • Stock Axles only.

STOCK CLASS This is an all motor class, it is intended for mostly stock 4wd trucks, jeeps, and suv’s, that have been slightly modified for competition, but still utilize mostly stock components. The vehicles in this class must be capable of being made street legal, with the exception of insurance, registration, and complete exhaust system.

  • TIRES

    • Up to 35 inch tall D.O.T. approved tires, No cut tires allowed. No paddle tires. No tractor tires.

  • ENGINES

    • Engines must be correct for year, and make. Engine in factory location only. Engine must pull 13” of vacuum at 1000rpm.

    • Will be tested with an OTC5613 Vacuum/pressure test gauge.

    • Factory blocks only, no aftermarket engine blocks. NO SVO, MOPAR, or BOWTIE engine blocks.

    • 502 and V-10 in original chassis only.

    • Up to an MSD 6 or equivalent race ignition allowed,

    • OEM cylinder heads only, original aluminum only, must match year make model. No aftermarket cylinder heads allowed!

    • OEM mechanical water pumps required, and must be operational.

    • Single plane, single carburetor intake manifolds allowed. No tunnel rams, no dual carburetor intake manifolds.

    • Headers allowed, may be open. Must exit under the vehicle.

    • Carburetor swaps allowed. Any OEM ok. No 4500 series/style carburetor. No predator carburetors, No port fuel injection. NO superchargers, turbos, or Nitrous oxide allowed!

  • FUEL

    • 91 octane maximum unleaded gasoline. Diesels ok. No race fuels! No cover scents/masking scents.

  • TRANSMISSION

    • OEM transmissions only! may swap standard/auto for auto/standard from same Year, make, and model.

    • No Trans Brakes allowed. Linelocks allowed with the use of standard transmission only. Up to 3000 Stall converter ok.

    • OEM transfer case only. May swap for different style from same Year, make, and model. No aftermarket t-cases, no chain drives, no doubler conversions.

  • BODY

    • OEM body must match frame and engine. No body swaps. Pickup beds can be replaced with heavy steel flat beds. No aluminum, or lightweight homemade replacement beds. All flatbeds must meet tech approval.

    • Body and interior must be completely intact, no gutting/cutting of interior or exterior. Doors cannot be removed. Fabrics/carpet may be removed as these are considered a fire hazard.

    • Only minor fender trimming allowed for bigger tires. No excessive trimming to fit 44’s where 34’s are the biggest tires allowed in the class.

    • OEM seats only with working seat belts, or two racing seats as replacements, and must have good working seat belts, must pass safety inspection.

    • Functional radiator in stock location only.

    • Battery must be in engine compartment, and must be securely mounted. Bungee cords will NOT be allowed as acceptable battery hold down.

    • OEM bumpers required.

    • Windshield and side windows required

    • OEM Open top vehicles must have roll bar, 4 point minimum. Does not apply to Half cab vehicles. Must have some sort of roof over top of driver/passenger on open top vehicles. Fuel tank relocation ok, fuel cells allowed, must be safe, and pass inspection.

  • FRAME

    • No modifications to frame or suspension allowed. No 2wheel drive to 4wheel drive conversions.

    • Aftermarket lift kits allowed. Must be a safe height. Vehicle must be in safe operating condition at all times. 4 wheel hydraulic brakes required and must function properly. OE master cylinder required.

    • 1/2 ton axles to 3/4 ton 8 hole axle swaps allowed.

SUPERSTOCK CLASS This is an all motor class, it is intended for 4wd trucks, jeeps, and suv’s, that have been slightly modified for competition, but still utilize mostly stock components. Appearance of vehicle may be altered, but must resemble a factory production vehicle.

  • TIRES

    • Up to 37 inch tall D.O.T. approved tires, No cut tires allowed. No paddle tires. No tractor tires.

  • ENGINES

    • Engine swaps allowed. Original Equipment Engines only! NO big blocks in mini trucks/suv’s. When swapping engine, engine must be in original location on frame! No engine setback! unless OE engine in OE chassis was built differently. No Exceptions!

    • Factory blocks only, no aftermarket engine blocks. NO SVO, MOPAR, or BOWTIE engine blocks.

    • 502 and V-10 in original chassis only.

    • OE ignition systems, or MSD 6 or equivalent race ignition allowed.

    • Conventional Cast iron cylinder heads only. 23 degree max.

    • Electric fans and water pumps ok.

    • Any single carburetor intake manifold ok. No tunnel rams, no dual carburetor intake manifolds.

    • Headers allowed, may be open. Must point up or down, or exit under the vehicle, toward the rear. No side exit headers/zoomies.

    • Any 4150 style double pump carburetor allowed. Any OEM ok. No 4500 series/style carburetor. No port fuel injection. 2 throttle return springs required. NO superchargers, turbos, or Nitrous oxide allowed!

  • FUEL

    • Racing fuel ok. E85 ok, no alcohol/methanol fuels, no nitro methane.

  • TRANSMISSION

    • OEM transmissions only! may swap standard/auto for auto/standard from same Year, make, and model. No powerglides!

    • Trans Brakes allowed. Must have sfi 4.1 blanket or shield with use of trans brake.

    • OEM transfer case only. May swap for different style from same Year, make, and model. No chain drives!

    • Stall converters allowed. Driveshaft safety loops required on both driveshafts. U-joint scatter shields required on axles.

  • BODY

    • OEM body swaps allowed. Body swap must be of comparable weight as body removed from vehicle. (example: heavy car for blazer body) no Geo metro’s for blazer body swaps!

    • Minimum Body interior and exterior gutting/cutting allowed. Interior plastic trim may be removed. Body must have all stock side panels, inside of bed may be removed. Flat beds allowed must cover length of frame and be at least 4 ft wide. NO lightweight fiberglass race bodies allowed. Fiberglass hoods ok. Fender trimming allowed for bigger tires.

    • OEM seats only with working seat belts, or two racing seats as replacements, and must have good working seat belts, must pass safety inspection.

    • Functional radiator in stock location only.

    • Battery relocation allowed. must be securely mounted. Bungee cords will NOT be allowed as acceptable battery hold down.

    • Windshield and side windows required.

    • OEM Open top vehicles must have roll bar, 4 point minimum. Does not apply to Half cab vehicles. Must have some sort of roof over top of driver/passenger on open top vehicles. Fuel tank relocation ok, fuel cells allowed, must be safe, and pass inspection.

  • FRAME

    • No modifications to frame allowed between front and back of the moving suspension parts(example…between front of front leaf spring and back of back leaf springs). No 2wheel drive to 4wheel drive conversions. No lightening of the frame.

    • Aftermarket lift kits allowed. Ladder bars and traction bars allowed. IFS to Solid axle swap ok. Must maintain OE style suspension. Any OE axle swaps allowed. Front and rear differentials must remain in original location.

    • Vehicle must be in safe operating condition at all times. 4 wheel Hydraulic brakes required and must function properly

PROSTOCK CLASS This is an all motor class, it is intended for 4wd trucks, jeeps, and suv’s, that have been modified for competition, but still utilize some stock components. Appearance of vehicle may be altered, but must retain factory frames and suspensions.

  • TIRES

    • Up to 40 inch tall D.O.T. approved tires, No cut tires allowed. No paddle tires. No tractor tires.

  • ENGINES

    • Engine swaps allowed. When swapping engine, the center of the harmonic balancer must not be further back than the center of the front axle. No exceptions!

    • Cast Iron Conventional bore spaced engines only.

    • Conventional Cast iron cylinder heads only. 23 degree max.

    • Up to MSD 7 or equivalent race ignition allowed

    • Electric fans and water pumps ok.

    • Any single carburetor intake manifold ok.

    • Headers allowed, may be open. Must point up or down, or exit under the vehicle, toward the rear. No side exit headers/zoomies.

    • Any carburetor allowed. No port fuel injection. NO superchargers, turbos, or Nitrous oxide allowed!

  • FUEL

    • Racing fuel ok. E85 ok, no alcohol/methanol fuels, no nitro methane.

  • TRANSMISSION

    • OE style transmissions only.

    • Trans Brakes allowed, Must have sfi 4.1 trans shield/blanket, with the use of trans brake.

    • OE style transfer case only. No chain drives!

    • Stall converters allowed . Driveshaft safety loops required on both driveshafts. Drive shaft U-joint scatter shields required on each axle.

  • BODY

    • OEM body swaps allowed.

    • Body interior and exterior gutting/cutting allowed. Must retain full cab, fenders may be removed/cut, must have hood, roof doors, and rear of cab. Body may not be set back on frame excessively. Engine must not extend outward from body.

    • Racing seats allowed, must have good working seat belts. 5 point harnesses strongly suggested.

    • Must have functioning radiator.

    • Battery relocation allowed, must be securely mounted.

    • Windshield required.

    • OEM Open top vehicles must have roll bar, 6 point minimum. Does not apply to Half cab vehicles. Must have some sort of roof over top of driver/passenger on open top vehicles. Fuel tank relocation ok, fuel cells allowed, must be safe, and pass inspection.

  • FRAME

    • Frame must be an OE production frame. Must retain at least 2 factory crossmembers. May be shortened or lengthened.

    • Aftermarket lift kits allowed. Ladder bars and traction bars allowed. IFS to Solid axle swap ok. Must maintain OE style suspension. No 3 or 4 link suspensions allowed. No exotic (not factory built for production vehicles) suspensions allowed. Any OE axle swaps allowed. Front differential must remain in original location. Vehicle must be in safe operating condition at all times. Hydraulic brakes required and must function properly.

MODIFIED CLASS This is an all motor class, it is intended for 4wd trucks, jeeps, and suv’s, that have been highly modified for competition, but still utilize some stock components. Appearance of vehicle may be altered, but must retain factory frames.

  • TIRES

    • Any size tire allowed. No paddle tires allowed. No passengers allowed.

  • ENGINES

    • Engine swaps allowed. When swapping engine, the front of the engine block can be no more than 4 inches from the back of the front axle tube!

    • Cast Iron Conventional bore spaced engines only.

    • Cast iron or Aluminum cylinder heads, 11 degree max.

    • Race ignition allowed.

    • Electric fans and water pumps ok.

    • Any intake manifold ok.

    • Headers allowed, may be open.

    • Any carburetor allowed. Dual carburetors allowed. NO superchargers, turbos, or Nitrous oxide allowed!

  • FUEL

    • Racing fuel ok. E85 ok, alcohol/methanol fuels ok, no nitro methane.

  • TRANSMISSION

    • OE style transmissions only!

    • Trans Brakes allowed, Must have sfi 4.1 trans shield/safety blanket.

    • OE style transfer case only. No chain drives!

    • Any Stall converter ok. Driveshaft safety loops required on both driveshafts. U-joint scatter shields required on each axle.

  • BODY

    • OEM body swaps allowed. Must have a body.

    • Body interior and exterior gutting/cutting allowed. Firewall must completely seal off engine from driver, fenders may be removed/cut, must have front and rear of cab. Body may not be set back on frame excessively. Engine must not extend outward from body.

    • Racing seats allowed with the use of 5 point harnesses. Center seat location ok.

    • Battery relocation allowed, must be securely mounted.

    • Factory glass not required

    • Roll bars(6 point minimum) required on all open top vehicles, also suggested on all vehicles in this class

  • FRAME

    • Frame must be an OE production frame. No boxed in, no homemade, and no tube frames allowed. Must retain at least 2 factory crossmembers.

    • Aftermarket lift kits allowed. Ladder bars and traction bars allowed. IFS to Solid axle swap ok. Must maintain OE style suspension. 3 and 4 link suspensions allowed. Back half custom 3 and 4 links allowed. Any OE axle swaps allowed. Drive shaft safety loops required. At least 1 safety loop per driveshaft.

    • Vehicle must be in safe operating condition at all times. Hydraulic brakes required and must function properly

PRO MOD CLASS This is an all motor/nitrous oxide class, it is intended for vehicles, that have been highly modified for competition use only.

  • TIRES

    • Any rubber tire allowed.

  • ENGINE

    • Engine swaps allowed. No engine setback rule, rear engine ok.

    • Conventional bore spaced engines only.

    • Minimum of 2 throttle return springs required.

    • Any cylinder head allowed.

    • Any normally aspirated induction system allowed.

    • No superchargers, no turbochargers. Nitrous allowed.

    • Must have kill switch within drivers reach and easily accessible.

    • Must have tether kill switch on rear of vehicle.

  • FUEL

    • Any race Fuel. No Nitromethane fuel

  • TRANSMISSION

    • Any automotive transmission allowed.

    • Trans brakes allowed.

    • Transmission shield or blanket required.

    • U-joint shields required, must be steel.

    • Driveshaft loops required on each shaft.

    • Chain drives or transfer case allowed.

  • BODY

    • Must have some type of body

    • Must have .060 metal firewall between driver and engine.

    • Driver must be protected from fuel, coolant, tires.

    • Must have roll bar and roof panel.

  • FRAME

    • Aftermarket frames ok. Must be safe.

    • Broken welds will result in disqualification.

    • Any suspension ok, must be safe.

    • Steering must be safe and in good condition.

    • Must have brakes on rear and pinion or full brakes on front.

  • SAFETY

    • Must have 5 point harness.

    • Must have kill switch within drivers reach and easily accessible.

    • Must have tether kill switch on rear of vehicle

    • Inoperative kill switch will result in disqualification.

    • Must have fire extinguisher on board.

    • Minimum 2 layer firesuit, headsock and gloves required.

    • Leather boots required.

OPENCLASS This is an unrestricted class, it is intended for vehicles, that have been extremely modified for competition use only.

  • TIRES

    • Any rubber tire allowed.

  • ENGINE

    • Any automotive engine.

    • Minimum of 2 throttle return springs required.

    • Any cylinder head allowed.

    • Any induction system allowed.

    • Superchargers, turbochargers. Nitrous allowed.

    • Must have kill switch within drivers reach and easily accessible.

    • Must have tether kill switch on rear of vehicle.

  • FUEL

    • Any race Fuel. No Nitromethane fuel

  • TRANSMISSION

    • Any automotive transmission allowed.

    • Trans brakes allowed.

    • Transmission shield or blanket required.

    • U-joint shields required, must be steel.

    • Driveshaft loops required on each shaft.

    • Chain drives or transfer case allowed.

  • BODY

    • Must have some type of body.

    • Minimum Body interior and exterior gutting/cutting allowed. Interior plastic trim may be removed. Body must have all stock side panels, inside of bed may be removed. Flat beds allowed must cover length of frame and be at least 4 ft wide. NO lightweight fiberglass race bodies allowed. Fiberglass hoods ok. Fender trimming allowed for bigger tires.

    • OEM seats only with working seat belts, or two racing seats as replacements, and must have good working seat belts, must pass safety inspection.

    • Functional radiator in stock location only.

    • Battery relocation allowed. must be securely mounted. Bungee cords will NOT be allowed as acceptable battery hold down

    • 1 bumper required.

    • Windshield and side windows required.

    • OEM Open top vehicles must have roll bar, 4 point minimum. Does not apply to Half cab vehicles. Must have some sort of roof over top of driver/passenger on open top vehicles. Fuel tank relocation ok, fuel cells allowed, must be safe, and pass inspection.

  • FRAME

    • No modifications to frame allowed between front and back of the moving suspension parts(example…between front of front leaf spring and back of back leaf springs). No 2wheel drive to 4wheel drive conversions. No lightening of the frame.

    • Aftermarket lift kits allowed. Ladder bars and traction bars allowed. IFS to Solid axle swap ok. Must maintain OE style suspension. Any OE axle swaps allowed. Front and rear differentials must remain in original location.

    • Vehicle must be in safe operating condition at all times. 4 wheel Hydraulic brakes required and must function properly
